Google Penalized My Blog for Hidden Link ???

About two weeks ago, I was surprised when found my pagerank reset from three to zero. I thought that my eyes was wrong, then I tried to check it to some pagarenk checker. And I got that my pagerank is zero. My best friend, Leet also wrote about this case. Thank you Leet...
I wonder, panic and asked to my self “what happened ?”
Then I tried to found some information. First, I post to Google Webmaster Help. Then some people responded my article. They said google penalized my blog cause of hidden link in my footer’s blog. I tried to find which one of hidden link, until I found there were 4 hidden links at my blog.
Frankly, I can said they are not hidden link, because three of them are empty link, just the menu “home”, “about”, “contact” from original template and the rest of designer identity “design by BloggerBuster”.
The 4 links were invisible cause I modified the original template color and I didn't know the 4 links at my blog's footer were invisible. Cause the original color of 4 links are white and I change the template color to cream (most white). So the 4 links be invisible.
You can see the picture above, the link can see because I drag my mouse on them. Then I deleted three links hidden but the identity of designer still there, because I want to acknowledge and respect to Miranda (BloggerBuster) as a designer this template.
Then I send message to Google Webmaster, that I already fix the link. But until now there are no respond. I also tried to asked reconsideration via Webmaster Tools, but still no respond. Someone said maybe Text Link Add (TLA) cause my blog penalized. It’s dilemma to me, which one I must choose,
- Delete TLA link and my online income decrease
- Let TLA link, but my pagerank still zero
Now, if you ask me :
- Do I care about pagerank ?
I can answer YES… I CARE….. But Show Must Go On… My blog has rank or not I will keep develop my blog, keep posting and keep find friends from online…
- Did My Traffic decrease after my pagerank reset to zero ?
I can answer ABSOLUTELY NO… my traffic still constant about 400 average a day.
I know that’s because of EntreCard… and all of you that still come and visit to my blog for drop EC and comment on my blog…
But now, there are mystery question for me... Is that true that google penalized me cause of hidden link which the link are original from it's template??? I don't know...
Now.. I just wanna see when google update their pagerank the end of October 2008. Hope my pagerank will be back. If no, there is no problem... as I said ... Show Must Be Go On... :)

Well, based on my experience, my page rank went to zero after doing paid reviews. It was PR4 for almost a year :(

you got PR ZERO for using TLA. 100% fact.
Google penalized most blogs for doing paid reviews and selling TLA.
Be careful in changing your template, I also sell text link here also paid review, I realize that it will turn my page rank into zero. But I think i have the same of thinking that earning money is more important since I could not earn money from adsense,
I have built my website page rank for four months ago and it is page rank 2 now, but I think it will decrease as yours since I sold TLA in it.
Don't worry too much about PR. My personal blog had a PR3 and was penalized after doing paid posts. Till now, its PR never increase. Just like you, my personal blog traffic is increasing because of EntreCard.

You got PR0 because of paid link or paid review.
But so long as you are earning good money from it, then it should not be a problem to you.
I have a blog that got penalized by google since March because of paid reviews (I had more paid reviews than personal posts). I doubt if I can gain PR again.
Yes exactly! ) I have read all the comments which state almost the same thing together. It can't be that google will penalize you because of only one thing. I mean reviews are just fine- even if they do penalize that can't get you from 3- to 0. And one of the main issues could be text link ads. Although they can bring a nice amount of money. ;)
Hi dear I was reading your post and related comments some time ago and decide to comments here.You have some bad experience by google.I must add one thing google is an unique site where you have lots of source for income but at same time they are most hard and tuff administrator.Some times ago I lost my earnings from google adsnese because of fraudlence click.This experienced me a lot.Even anyone can lost their adsense account if anybody from net clicks on his/her adds frequently(number of times within a seconds),yet the clicker may innocent.
Anyway I have lost my PR from 2 to o and then 3 and again 0.I have lot of paid post ,not enough TLA links.I belive in meoney earnings,so I dont care about PR.Though its bring lot of loss as a paid reviewer.Actually google does not have any fixed rule to follow.You cant say about a site without selling addvertising or selling links , when they have good ranks over years.Take any example of very good website which earns from their blog,they also have good rank.Again john chow who earns millions has less/zero rank and he dont even care about google.So just ignore google ,keep going and going...
What is TLA? How is it different than paid reviews? My PR was knocked from 2 to 0, and I did do about 8 advertiser paid reviews, but I only have about 12 paid posts to over 130 legit content posts. Most of us try to make a little money blogging, makes no sense.
You're not alone! My PR went from 3 to 0 and the only thing I can figure was in my sidebar I had put, 'this blog sponsored by.' I was given a product by this company and thought it would be nice to write it that way. Apparently G didn't agree. I took the wording out and resubmitted, but like you have heard nothing.
Thank you so much for the information. I began blogging as a journal of sorts. I then began to obtain readers and I fell in love with blogging. I finally checked my PR and found that I was a 3 as of today. I have learned so much from this post. Now that I am following the meaning of page rank all this information will come in handy.
