Have you ever think that soccer is a big business to get money. For the club, player, sponsor and third party which related with soccer, such as merchandiser. In Premier League (England), there are four big club who have a big income. In 2006/2007 season, this four club were in big 20 soccer club who have big income in the world. Manchester United is in the 2nd, Chelsea 4th, Arsenal 5th and Liverpool 8th . Meanwhile Real Madrid is 1st.
Some of the resources of the Premier League come from the ticket, as shown below (in million Pond).

Manchester United get £ 92.5 from ticket. The Times said this is the world record from ticket sales in soccer. Arsenal is in the second with £ 90.6 million.
Compare with Real Madrid, they only get £ 64 million from ticket, meanwhile the capacity of Santiago Bernabue (Real Madrid Stadium) is 80,400 seat and Emirates Stadium (Arsenal Stadium) is 60,355 seat.
What that's mean from business perspective? In my opinion, that's mean English Club can optimize their income from ticket sales and that's why you can see and hear there were many conglomerates invest their money in Premier League Club.
